First Overseas Journey

Dear friends!
Guess what! I got a window seat on the flight!! hahaha.. I know that is silly but, I was very happy coz this was my first time travelling on an airplane!
Flight journey was like chewing gum - tastier only in the beginning. There was a little TV that was attached to the front seat, which helped me killed a lot of time actually.

There was a channel in the TV which showed the geographical position of the airplane. I dint miss to see Mumbai, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Pakistan, Germany. Then came the REAL treat! LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM!
We had to change our flights in Heathrow, London. Actually we reached an hour before our scheduled landing and pilot took us for an aerial tour of London. It was just AWESOME! From above, the city as a painting!
I reached Toronto and it was snow showering. I was excited to see snowing first time in my life :) But, snow looks good only when you are inside the building! When we stepped out of the airport and witnessed the actual cold, it was seriously HORRIBLE!! The mercury clicked -17* C!
I hired a taxi and reached London, Ontario, Canada by 3AM of 24th Mar 2011.
Hotel room was waiting for my check-in. The room has a kitchen attached to it. So no much problem with the food. Hotel is just 5 mins walk away to my workplace. Meanwhile, I have searched for an apartment and have signed the lease agreement yesterday.
You won’t believe, yesterday was the first time I saw a kid on the street! I had read somewhere that aged population is a huge threat to this country and now I got to experience the same.
Tall building in the background
is One London Place - my work place
Work culture is very good. No one asks/questions you until you cross the deadline. And in the first meeting, my manager says - I don’t care about the deadlines! I just smiled and came back to my seat, hey wait a minute!!! Was that statement in the spirits that favored me??!?  :-/
Well, only time can answer that...
Will keep this space to update you about my stay here so that you don't lose me in your busy life :)
